Mick Jagger is back in training ahead of his return to the stage with The Rolling Stones following his recent heart operation.

Jagger underwent heart valve replacement earlier this year, forcing the Stones to delay a tour of the United States and Canada to allow him to receive medical treatment.

In the 22-second clip, Jagger - wearing a white t-shirt, black running trousers and sneakers - is seen in a dance studio watching himself in a mirror as he moves energetically to "Techno Fan", a song by the United Kingdom indie-rock group The Wombats.

In the clip, the rocker looked like he was back to his usual sprightly self, as he danced and sung along, not to a Rolling Stones hit, but to British indie rockers The Wombats' 2011 track Techno Fan.

Jagger was forced to postpone tour dates in the U.S. and Canada, announcing he was "devastated" to let down fans.

In a video shared on his Twitter page on Wednesday, the rock star is seen dancing energetically and jumping in front of a mirror in a dance studio.

He wrote: "Thank you everyone for all your messages of support, I'm feeling much better now and on the mend - and also a huge thank you to all the hospital staff for doing a superb job".

On April 11, he updated fans again with a picture of himself out and about taking a walk in a park.
