OR and Auburn will kick off the Advocare Classic at 4:30 p.m. PT Aug. 31 in AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas as ABC's Saturday Night Football broadcast.
The Syracuse-Clemson football game earned the marquee television position for Week 3 of the college football season and will be ABC's Saturday Night Football broadcast on September 14.
Texas Hosts SNF for First Time Since 2013In Week 2, ABC SNF will return to Austin, Texas, for the first time since 2013, as Texas hosts LSU on September 7 in a matchup of New Year's Six winners from last season and a potential early season top 10 matchup. The Tigers and Ducks are expected to be ranked and both feature several marquee returning players, headlined by Ducks quarterback Justin Herbert.
These two teams haven't faced each other since the 2010 BCS Championship game, which Auburn won 22-19.
OR was 1-1 in games on ABC last season, losing to Stanford in overtime on Saturday Night Football and beating Washington in overtime in an afternoon game that was broadcast to part of the country via ESPN2. There is a chance that this matchup could also be later announced as an ESPN GameDay site. The Orange is the last team to beat Clemson in the regular-season, winning 27-24 victory in Clemson's last visit to the Carrier Dome in 2017. The Orange was also one of Clemson's toughest games a year ago, falling 27-23 on the road.
