Monster-Hunting RPG 'Dauntless' Heading to Xbox One Next Week

Small wonder why the team at Phoenix Labs took such a direction for Dauntless, its upcoming free-to-play action RPG. Have you been playing the game on PC and are excited for the Dauntless PS4 release, or, is this your first encounter with the game? Here, you can earn additional experience, unlock achievement and reep new rewards.

Developer Phoenix Labs is promising "massive" updates for 1.0, including a mastery system for extra skill acquisition, a campaign rework, and questing and crafting enhancements. When it finally launches on PC however, it will release as an Epic Games Store exclusive. These fearless warriors fight for humanity's survival against ferocious beasts known as Behemoths, whose savage hunger to drain the very essence, or aether, from the world puts every life at risk. The Fortnite-esque Battle Pass system known as the Hunt Pass will make sure that there is always something to do in the game too.

To celebrate, Phoenix Labs is releasing the new Hunt Pass Season 5: Hidden Blades which offers up new gear and content as the in-game world is transformed into a Moon Blossom Festival. Behemoths, as cunning as they are vicious, consume the land, and it's up to the Slayers to hunt them down before they destroy what remains of the world.

New players will have access to the ArcslayerPack.

Jesse Houston, Phoenix Labs co-founder and president, has previously said that Dauntless draws "inspiration from games like Dark Souls, Monster Hunter and World of Warcraft", where players can slay huge Behemoths solo or cooperatively.

And PS Plus May subscribers will also be able to claim some new loot with the launch of Dauntless on consoles. Slayers will have 50 new levels of content to work through with a variety of rewards along the way.
