Zion Williamson has declared for the 2019 NBA Draft, he today announced on his Instagram.
Williamson is highly thought of in NBA Draft circles, seen as one of the best prospects the process has seen in the last 25 years.
The future National Basketball Association star announced his decision on Instagram.
"I just want to say thank you".
Williamson spent his freshman season at Duke, where he dominated the competition with 22.6 points, 8.9 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 2.1 steals and 1.8 blocks per game on 68.0 percent shooting from the field and 33.8 percent from 3-point range.
"I don't think I can put it into words how special this year was", Williamson said, in addition to thanking his family, coach Mike Krzyzewski and the rest of Duke. He led the Duke Blue Devils to an appearance in the Elite Eight at the NCAA Tournament and although they didn't win it all, Zion proved himself as the best of his peers. The NBA Draft Lottery takes place on Tuesday, May 14, in what will be one of the most anticipated nights of the offseason.
