Sir Alex Ferguson makes his pick for the Premier League title – all thanks to Manchester United

Walters appeared on BBC 5 Live's Football Daily on Sunday night, and while discussing the weekend's games he revealed the former Manchester United boss, Alex Ferguson, believes Liverpool are going to finally end their starvation by landing the Premier League title.

And at such a crucial point when nearly everyone is busy predicting the victor of the title race, perhaps the most important prediction has just been revealed by former Premier League player Jonathan Walters.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made it clear that he will not park in the club's manager's spot as he believes the place still belongs to Sir Alex Ferguson.

I was chatting with Phil Bardsley this week and - I'm going to drop a name here - he sat with Sir Alex Ferguson. and he thinks Liverpool are going to win it.

"He sat with him and he thinks Liverpool are going to win it".

Meanwhile, Manchester United are now occupying fifth position on the Premier League standings with 64 points after 33 games.

Chelsea were the last top-six opponents for Liverpool but the same is not the case for Manchester City. It's a make-up match against the Red Devils and it will come just days after facing Tottenham twice in the span of four days, including once in the Champions League - steam those matches via fuboTV (Try for free). From there, there's only three games remaining to decide the title.

The good news, then, is at least United will surely take points off their cross-city rivals.
