Chelsea were determined to retain their man last summer, though a variety of factors may come into play this time around.

Willian's current contract at Stamford Bridge runs until next summer and Chelsea could be tempted to cash-in on the star rather than risk losing him for a free.

After two failed attempts to sign Brazilian star Willian from Chelsea, Spanish champions Barcelona are reportedly planning for another move this summer.

It leaves Chelsea in a position where if they accept a bid, they'd be left feeling red-faced and frustrated about the fact they didn't let Willian go when Barca first approached the Blues with a bigger bid.

Federation Internationale de Football Association have imposed the ban on the Blues for the next two transfer windows, meaning they will need to hold on to top talent along with promoting through the ranks.

However, the two transfer window ban that the English club has been slapped with is said to complicate matters, especially on the back of Eden Hazard's potential departure to Real Madrid.

Barcelona have ramped up their interest in Chelsea winger Willian once again as they return for him in the summer transfer window, after unsuccessfully trying to sign him past year.

Hazard has stated on numerous occasions that Zidane is his footballing idol, and his return was sure to have turned the forward's head even further.

A move for highly rated Christian Pulisic has already been secured, however, meaning Chelsea have a collection of wingers including Pedro and recent England global Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Hudson-Odoi handed in a transfer request amid reports of Bayern's interest, but it's thought Chelsea will try and tie the youngster down to a new contract before next season.
