Amy Poehler’s WINE COUNTRY Looks Like a Joyous SNL Reunion

Amy Poehler’s ‘Wine Country’ for Netflix looks like the best girls weekend ever

Paula Pell left Rachel Dratch Maya Rudolph Ana Gasteyer Emily Spivey and Amy Poehler in"Wine Country

Netflix has unleashed the trailer for Amy Poehler's comedy Wine Country and it looks like the ultimate cheese and wine movie with the gals. With a script from SNL writer Emily Spivey and The Last Man on Earth writer Liz Cackowski, there should be plenty of smart comedy in this movie.

On the plus side, workaholic Catherine (Gasteyer) lets loose a little, post-op Val (Pell) jokes that she "did molly in college, but she went back to her boyfriend", and homebody Jenny (Spivey) lives a little.

But as the alcohol flows, real world uncertainties intrude on the punchlines and gossip, and the women begin questioning their friendships and futures.

Amy Poehler is all set to make her directorial debut with Wine Country, in which she also stars alongside Maya Rudolph, Rachel Dratch, Ana Gasteyer, Emily Spivey, Paula Pell, and Tina Fey.

Poehler will also direct and produce Netflix's coming-of-age feminist film Moxie, based on the novel of the same name by Jennifer Mathieu. Watch the official trailer above.

Jason Schwartzman, Cherry Jones, SNL alumna Tina Fey, bottles of red and bottles of white co-star in the fermented film, which puts the blurry focus on friendship, aging and, well, drinking.

If you were a fan of Girls Trip (as I was) and Rough Night (which was OK, but formulaic), you may want to have a Netflix night and drink some wine to Wine Country, which will hit Netflix on May 10.
