This TPC Sawgrass 17th Hole Prank is Absolutely Savage

This week's Players is Taylor's 11 start at the Tour's flagship event.

This tournament will feature almost all of the top golfers in the world. These golfers will also be competing for a share of the record-setting $12.5 million purse.

We're not here to just pick winners for the tournament, though.

"Just judging the distance, balls going miles and would never stop in the fairways", Johnson said.

And for anyone that travels to Florida to play at TPC, that's the hole that you're shelling out a ton of money to play on.

The 17th hole at TPC Sawgrass may be the most famous hole in golf, the famous. or "infamous" ... island green that annually makes or breaks THE PLAYERS Championship, which is being held in March this year instead of May ... which will trick up the 17th a little more than usual. "We're going to have to hit more clubs off the tees, have a little bit longer clubs into the greens, but the difference is that the greens are much slower and much more receptive".

Given its level of difficulty, it's no wonder that only six golfers have won this event a couple of times.

Woods is the only player to win in March and May.

If he had made pars on both days, he could have theoretically finished tied-second behind victor Webb Simpson.

The PGA Tour said there were 857 tee shots hit at No. 17 between Garcia's ace in 2017 and Moore's. Then again, all of the Top 50 ranked players are in the field.

Following the co-favorites Dustin Johnson and Rory McIlroy, Thomas is the next man up, and with good reason.

Tiger Woods, right, talks with Matt Killen, the putting coach of Justin Thomas, who is working with Woods the week, during a practice round of The Players Championship golf tournament, Wednesday, March 13, 2019, in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.

He was in a greenside bunker in two shots, but took two attempts to get out of the sand, and three more to hole out. In his first two starts at the event he finished tied for 32 and eighth (2005 and '06, respectively), his best finish at TPC Sawgrass.

Hadwin is the top Canadian in the FedEx Cup standings so far this season, sitting 29th with 490 points.

Poulter is someone who can go overlooked in a deep field. He's now 22nd in SG: tee-to-green, and if his putting can improve, can certainly be competing on Sunday. Past champions like Tiger Woods (25-1), Rickie Fowler (22-1), and Jason Day (35-1) are also in the field.

American golfer Ryan Moore produced the flawless shot at the 17th in the first round of The Players Championship. The tournament officially kicked off Thursday morning bright and early.
