This is further confirmed by looking to the description which informs us that this is a live-action short from Neill Blomkamp which is set in the world of Bioware's upcoming Anthem.
According to Gamespot, Blomkamp utilizes a "lived in style" that he has "established in movies like District 9, Elysium and Chappie".
In a follow-up tweet, the official Anthem account teased the short film and gave it a name: Conviction. The video will land on Oats Studios' YouTube channel and is now available as a premiere, allowing users to set a reminder for when it launches on February 14 at 7:30 AM PST. In a tweet, Blomkamp said he's "really excited to share" his latest project, and paired it with an #anthemgame hashtag.
This isn't even the first time Blomkamp has done this for a video game, giving Halo 3 the same treatment in 2007 with Landfall. "Conviction sets the stage with a narrative that touches on Anthem's lovely and immersive world, which is ripe for exploration by these powerful Javelins. A world where danger is lurking on every ledge and in each valley". As players work together to find vast ruins, defeat deadly enemies and claim otherworldly artifacts, they'll be unlocking their own individual story fighting against The Dominion, a ferocious militaristic society.
Anthem is due out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on February 22.
