The Division 2 'open beta' casually mentioned on live stream

Given that The Division 2 is set for release next month, it can be expected that the supposed beta will take place one weekend in the very near future. If you're looking forward to playing it but can't pre-order it or won't, rejoice!

An open beta would let more or less everyone play The Division 2 before it's out - would you be interested in giving it a try?

The Division 2 private beta did not have the best weekend on Twitch, as far as viewer numbers are concerned. Unfortunately, no specific date, time, or schedule has been mentioned, so we'll have to wait for the official announcement just to be sure.

This shouldn't come as a huge surprise, as open betas are relatively commonplace these days, and the publisher held one for the first game in the series. While there were some problems with the game client crashing as well as invites, Ubisoft was quick to address these issues and offer workarounds.

An open beta would give developers a chance to properly stress test the servers as well as iron out any last minute bugs that arise. Did you get the opportunity to run around D.C. this weekend?
