Skier dies of injuries at Vermont resort

According to Detective Trooper Marie Beland, Bruce Charron, 68, of West Montreal lost a ski while traversing the mountain.

A 68-year-old Montreal West man died Sunday afternoon after a skiing accident at Jay Peak in Vermont. The trees were along the edge of a trail.

Charron was treated by emergency responders and extricated from the scene of the crash by Jay Peak Ski Patrol.

He later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the resort, police say.

State police are still investigating the case and asking anyone who saw the incident to contact them at 802-334-8881.
