Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Monday joined Twitter and garnered a massive response with tens of thousands following her on the social media platform within hours. Meanwhile, here is BJP's spokesperson Sudesh Verma's reaction over the mega roadshow of Priyanka Gandhi.
Asking crowd to repeat his "chowkidar chor hai" (guard is the thief) barb against Prime Minister Narendra Modi in connection with the Congress party's corruption allegation in the Rafale fighter jet deal, Gandhi alleged that the Prime Minister has "stolen" money from Uttar Pradesh and other states to benefit industrialist Anil Ambani. The party in Uttar Pradesh is seeing the visit as the virtual launch of the Congress campaign in the state, ahead of the coming Lok Sabha elections.
In a furious reply over purported comments by Modi, Priyanka said, '"I am Rajiv Gandhi's daughter", for insulting her father. She had accused PM Modi of indulging in "low level" politics and said that people of Amethi will never forgive him.
Scindia, in his message, said: "Tomorrow I am coming to be with you. Come align with us and bring change to Uttar Pradesh". The youth of Uttar Pradesh need a roadmap for the future and the state needs change.
Few days before Singh's remark, BJP general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya had also taken a dig at the Congress party and criticised them for using "chocolaty faces" to fight the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
