Bears-Lions, Dolphins-Cowboys on Thanksgiving

The Detroit Lions and Dallas Cowboys have hosted games on Thanksgiving for generations, and now it appears we know who they're hosting this year.

According to Sports Business Daily via ProFootballTalk, two of the 2019 Thanksgiving Day matchups have been decided.

Get ready for another Thanksgiving Day with the Bears because the team is likely to face the Lions in a holiday rematch later this year, according to SportsBusiness Daily.

Gabriel led the Bears with seven catches for 49 yards in Detroit last Thanksgiving as Chase Daniel earned the win, with the help of a 41-yard pick-six from Eddie Jackson. The 1993 Dolphins-Cowboys Thanksgiving game is one of the most famous Thanksgiving games in National Football League history, with the Dolphins winning on a last-second field goal after Cowboys defensive lineman Leon Lett fumbled the game away by muffing a blocked field goal.

The Miami Dolphins haven't played on Thanksgiving since 2011, but that potentially could change next season.

There's a special historical significance to the Cowboys-Dolphins matchup on Thanksgiving as well. There's no word yet on what the third Thanksgiving game, on NBC in prime time, will be.
