Arsenal boss Unai Emery has been eyeing up a move for Belgian worldwide Yannick Carrasco over the last few weeks, but the Gunners could be set for a fatal blow in their quest to sign the 25-year-old, as according to Carrasco's wife Noemie Happart, Manchester United are also lining up a potential move for the winger.
Carrasco is now playing in the Chinese Super League with Dalian Yifang but the player is yet to settle down at the club.
The wife of Yannick Carrasco has confirmed that Premier League rivals Arsenal and Manchester United are keen to sign the Belgian winger.
Speaking on Belgian TV channel rtbf.be, Happart has spoken openly about Carrasco's possible move back to Europe by saying, "There are lots of clubs looking at him".
Asked specifically about the interest from Arsenal and United, Happart said: "Yes, they are very interested".
However, Gunners boss Unai Emery admitted last week that he's only able to sign new players on loan this month so any permanent deal for Carrasco would have to wait until the end of the season.
Reports emerged earlier this week suggesting that the Carrasco, who now plies his trade for Dalian Yifang, would be willing to take a pay cut to return to Europe this month. I do not hide it, but nothing is signed'.
Carrasco scored seven times in 25 matches for Dalian Yifang, helping them avoid relegation, and is on a massive salary, though he would be prepared to take a significant pay cut to join Arsenal or United.
