President Donald Trump's obsession with a border wall seems to be of his own making, but what if it wasn't? Politics today and the show both feature men named Trump with a wall that is promised to protect every citizen from danger.

The people of Talpa buy Trump's act, but noble Texas Ranger Hoby Gilman (Trackdown protagonist Robert Culp) stays hot on Trump's tail and ultimately manages to convince the locals of his con.

The episode aired on May 8, 1958, with Lawrence Dobkin as Walter Trump, Snopes reported.

His solution was to build a wall made of magical metal that would repel the meteors and keep everyone safe.

You have to admit, it is pretty amusing, especially when the TV character threatens, "Be careful, son".

Even though "Trackdown" was a fictional show, the events of that episode closely mirror what is happening today. "You're under arrest, Trump", says Hoby before implicating the sheriff in Trump's crimes.

In the show, Walter Trump gathers his community and tells them that the world will be ending. "A message few of you will be able to believe...but be not afraid my friends: I also bring you the means with which to save yourself". "Sound familiar? That's because Mr. Trump has repeatedly threatened to sue anything and everything that's portrayed him in an unflattering light, including USA media outlets, nonprofit organizations and the almost dozen women who accused him of sexual assault in 2016".

The clip first surfaced in 2016, but it has picked up new steam in recent days with the ongoing debate over funding for President Trump's border wall.
