Comedy Legend Jerry Stiller, Dad to Ben, Is 'Doing Well' After Health Scare, Says Family Friend

Actor Jerry Stiller is doing OK after a medical scare Wednesday night put him in the hospital.

The beloved Seinfeld star's condition was reported to be serious.

"There are no signs of a stroke".

But friends of the comic have told reporters that he is OK, and is expected to return home within a couple of days. "He's totally fine", a source close to the family told the Daily News.

The star of The King Of Queens is father to fellow amusing man Ben Stiller.

During his run on Seinfeld, Stiller was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series.

Stiller, a World War II veteran, earned a bachelor's degree in Speech and Drama in 1950 from Syracuse University.

Stiller - famous for playing George Costanza's dad in Seinfeld, and for being the real-life one to Ben and sister Amy - lost his wife, Anne Meara, in 2015 after she had suffered multiple strokes.

Jerry formed a successful comedy duo, Stiller and Meara, with his wife Anna in the 60s and 70s.
