With supposedly more than ten unannounced games to be revealed, a host of content and announcements for existing ones, and a timeslot that actually suits Australians, The Game Awards is always worth a watch. Someone has to keep Bill company because you can bet your boots I'll be getting ready to sleep since I'm on the early shift every day! The Game Awards is going to be a great night, but there is going to be a ton to do online afterwards.
As you can see, there's a lot to talk about...so let's talk!
The awards show, held annually in December, celebrates both game creators and game players, and gives fans a sneak preview of games set to be released in the future. While we know some of the announcements we can expect, others have only been teased.
Of course there will still be those big surprises that nobody saw coming tomorrow night, and I'll revel in them, but to think there could be so many more. That will make for a packed show, especially given that it needs to fit all those reveals around the accolades, musical performances, and other variety events. The new Far Cry title could have been one of those big announcements we're talking about days later, but now it's just another footnote in an upcoming event we already seem to know much of the landscape of. If you want to tune in to catch all the latest news, and complain that your favorite game didn't win the awards you felt it deserved, you'll want to look online.
