This announcement comes just one day before the nominees for next year's Globes will be announced, with both Samberg and Oh likely contenders for their work on Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Killing Eve, respectively.
Samberg was the obvious choice to host the awards. The Golden Globes led NBC to the nightlong win in total viewers despite National Football League playoff competition. And in 2015, Samberg hosted the Emmy awards to generally positive reviews.
The duo won praise on social media for their chemistry presenting at this year's Primetime Emmy Awards. They did a bit together that drew laughs.
Oh spent 10 seasons on Grey's Anatomy as Dr. Cristina Yang, but more recently she has been starring in the hit BBC series Killing Eve.
"Sandra and Andy are the ideal choices to host this world-class event", said Paul Telegdy and George Cheeks, the co-chairmen of NBC Entertainment. "It's sure to be another unforgettable fun-filled night", co-chairmen of NBC Entertainment Paul Telegdy and George Cheeks said in a statement.
Both stars have won Golden Globes, but neither have ever hosted the award show before.
"We're excited to welcome Sandra Oh and Andy Samberg as co-hosts of Hollywood's Party of the Year", Hollywood Foreign Press Association President, Meher Tatna, said in press release Wednesday.

According to E! the 2019 show will debut a new award 'measuring 11.5 inches tall, 3.75 inches wide and 3.75 inches deep. That was down slightly from the 2017 show to a six-year demo low, but still ranked as the most watched awards show since the Oscars.
The three-hour telecast will air live on NBC coast to coast Sunday, January 6 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT from The Beverly Hilton.
