Their visit comes after weeks of stories about tensions within the royal family, especially between Meghan and Kate.
The Duchess of Cambridge, 36, donned a £666 green blazer by Canadian brand Smythe for the visit on Wednesday, along with a pair of £130 navy wide-legged pants from Jigsaw.
The couple are flying to RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus on Wednesday where some of the loved ones of the families they met are based, and will take with them a collection of early Christmas presents for the RAF personnel. The royal couple also passed out presents to the Squadron 11. The pants are believed to be a new addition to the royal wardrobe. Emily Nash reported that Kate promised a "little girl [that] she would come back in a pink dress and crown".

The previous day, they had hosted a party at Kensington Palace for the partners, children and parents of those from RAF Coningsby and RAF Marham, who will be spending Christmas away from home. During the fun-filled holiday event, the Duchess made a personal speech. "As someone whose husband has served, I know how hard it feels when a loved one leaves to do the job they trained for", she said.
Seeing the fancy new furniture, William joked in front of the guests and royal reporters, "Keep the pizza off the sofas!" which prompted his wife's response, "You're a nightmare with that!"
The proud parents chatted happily about their children, with William telling pilots: 'I told George this morning we were going to see the pilots today, and he said "If you see a helicopter can you take a picture?"'
