Continue reading to learn about all of iOS 12.1.1's most important new features and improvements! As usual the update is available over the air and here's what is new. The update isn't too big; on an iPhone XS it's just 381.7MB. However, the 12.1.1 update fixes that and switching between the cameras is now comfortable with one-tap and users now can also capture Live Photos during the FaceTime call. While the iPhone XR doesn't have 3D Touch, Apple is adding a popular 3D Touch feature through haptic touch: Notification preview. With iOS 12.1.1, the button to switch the camera is on the main screen, bringing the process back to a single tap.
Earlier today, Apple's online support documentation acknowledged Rogers and Fido were the next wireless carriers in line to support Dual SIM and eSIM on iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR, joining Bell and Virgin Mobile. Update or not, it's always a good idea to have your data backed up in some form. You want to know what's new in iOS 12.1.1?
Users can download and install the update in Settings General Software Update.
Apple also released macOS Mojave 10.14.2 and tvOS 12.1.1. From there, you can click Download and Install. On a computer you'll need to be running the latest version of iTunes and navigate to your plugged-in iOS device.
I will not recommend going for a clean install for an update as small as iOS 12.1.1 as you will be forced to take a backup of your device and then restore it later on.
