Express.co.uk has contacted a representative for Diddy asking for comment.
Kim and Diddy had three kids together: twins Jessie James and D'Lila were born in 2006, and son Christian Combs born in 1998. May she rest in peace.
TMZ reported law enforcement sources as telling the site that authorities were called to Porter's LA home on Thursday, and that a 911 call reported "a patient in cardiac arrest". They split in 2007 but reunited and the rapper and the model were even pictured on a Caribbean getaway in 2010, according to the Daily Mail, which ran the pics that December.
Kim worked as both a model and an actress, and she made appearances on Diddy's show, "I Want to Work for Diddy". Named after her mentor Quincy Jones, Porter was involved in a relationship with singer Al B. Sure! which ended in the mid-90s.
It's unclear what caused her death, but a source connected to Porter told TMZ that she had been suffering flu-like symptoms, and possibly pneumonia, for several weeks.
Diddy's rep confirmed the sad news to TMZ saying, "Sadly, I can confirm the passing of Kim Porter".
