Avengers 4, billed as a significant conclusion to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as we know it, will arrive in May, 2019.
And now we know that when the time comes to fork out for a cinema ticket and a large popcorn, we'll be getting our money's worth.
Replying to a question whether the upcoming movie would live up to fans' expectations, Russo said, "Absolutely".
This being said, it's testament to the Russo Brothers that the film rarely lagged - you know, aside from the whole bit with Peter Dinklage's huge dwarf - but overall, Infinity War did a ideal job of balancing 47 storylines while giving 2,432 superheroes their time to shine.
So we'll see if that holds, but it's sitting right at three hours right now.During an Instagram chat with fans co-director Joe Russo, who was promoting his new bar Duello in LA, said, "The running time on Avengers 4 is now sitting right at three hours".
Russo went onto confirm that they're probably only halfway through the entire process.
A follow-up question was then asked about where the now untitled Avengers 4 was in terms of post-production, in which Russo said "we're about halfway through the editing process".
"We're really just scratching the surface on our VFX shots. We've just started work with Alan Silvestri on the score, and we're still editing picture at this point", Joe added.
In response to a question about post-production, Russo revealed the team is roughly 50% done with the film. We know more characters might die.
