On Thursday night, Fox News host Tucker Carlson expressed appreciation for the dozens of people who reached out to him after what he called an "upsetting" episode in which Antifa protesters harassed his wife at their Washington, D.C. home. "And if you work in our business as you know you can lose sight of that because you see the lunatics, but most people are not lunatics, most people are humane and decent and kind, and its just been a great reminder of that".
Smash Racism held three "From Resistance to Revolution" conferences at St. Stephen and the Incarnation Episcopal Church in November and December of a year ago. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and his wife at a restaurant during Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh's contentious confirmation process, said it was behind the protest at the Carlson residence. On his Twitter account, he said recently: "Not a fan of demonstrating how docile the left is compared to the right for the sake of moral high ground". He added later that it's significant to note Carlson is an "influential white nationalist propaganda broadcaster". They werent asking me to change anything.
Carlson's driveway was spray painted with an anarchy symbol along with signs referring to Carlson's "political affiliation" on his front door and cars on the property, as listed by the police report. "No USA at all!" they chanted in another video. Isaacson's personal account is still up.
According to a police report, a group of demonstrators gathered outside Carlson's Northwest Washington home Wednesday night. "I can't have my kids stay at home alone now", Carlson said. He said "they were threatening me and my family and telling me to leave my own neighborhood in the city that I grew up in".
Carlson himself said it was more appropriate to describe their actions as a "threat" rather than protests. She had been in the kitchen alone getting ready to go to dinner and she heard pounding on the front door and screaming.
She locked herself in the pantry and called police at 6.30pm as the mob screamed and banged on her front door.
Activists chanted threats outside Fox News' Tucker Carlson's home Wednesday evening. Susan called the police and stayed inside until they arrived.
