He cemented Phoenix's first win since its season opener against the Lakers on buzzer-beater Sunday versus the Grizzles, but was "embarrassed" when the Suns were blown out, 104-82, by the Nets.

Though Devin Booker and rookie Deandre Ayton combined for 35 points for Phoenix, the duo went a combined 12-for-38 from the floor as the Nets held the Suns to 34.6 percent shooting overall.

Both teams struggled to hit shots in the first quarter, with field goal percentages of less than 40 both ways.

D'Angelo Russell had 15 points, six rebounds, three assists and a pair of steals in one of his best all-around performances as a Net.

The Nets, up two after one quarter, led by 14 during the second quarter. G Jared Dudley returned to Phoenix for the first time since being traded in the offseason. F DeMarre Carroll has yet to play this season due to a right ankle injury.

Senior Raul Frias posted career highs of 19 points and nine rebounds while fourth-year swingman Raiquan Clark led the Blackbirds with 22 points. Chandler was in the final season of a four-year, $52 million free-agent deal he signed in July 2015 and has reportedly agreed to forfeit $2.1 million of the remaining $13.5 million in order to secure his release.

Brooklyn finished a 2-1 homestand Sunday with a 122-97 drubbing of the Philadelphia 76ers, while Phoenix snapped a seven-game losing streak with a 102-100 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies later the same night. But it didn't happen, at least right away, and the home team heard the boos toward the end of the game.

"It sucks, man", Booker told reporters, via "I think that's what they want to see, and we never gave that". "We got blown out in front of our fans, so it's embarrassing".

Kokoskov wasn't pleased with the performance. "They're not driving home happy", he said. It's a credit to the Nets organization that they can do this despite years of being in National Basketball Association purgatory.

"I'd be doing the same thing if I was up there", he said.

Suns: Host the Boston Celtics on Thursday.
