Since signing with the Los Angeles Rams - Marcus Peters has been somewhat of a disappointment, but the team remained undefeated despite his struggles. "We're going to see him soon".

In New Orleans' 45-35 victory over the Rams Sunday, Saints receiver Michael Thomas ate up cornerback Marcus Peters.

Saints coach Sean Payton said after the game that New Orleans got the matchup they wanted with Peters on Thomas, a comment that Peters responded colorfully to on Thursday.

Thomas caught 12 passes for 211 yards and a touchdown, none bigger than the 72-yard touchdown catch on which he burned past Peters to seal the win.

"Tell Sean Payton to keep talking that s- ... we will see him again", Peters said, according to Lindsey Thiry of ESPN. "We thought we really liked that matchup - a lot". Thomas may have won Offensive Player of the Week with Peters covering him, but he's not really someone you want to target, as he's a turnover-producing machine.

"Yeah, because I liked what he was saying on the sidelines, too", Peters said.

"Tell him, 'Keep talking that s-. Then we going to have a good li'l, nice li'l bowl of gumbo together".

During Peters' postgame interviews, he owned up to his poor performance and was adamant he could play better.

On Thursday, the Rams CB fired back at Sean Payton and hopes the teams meet up down the road in the playoffs.

Los Angeles hosts the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.
