On Monday, the New York Mets announced a handful of changes to their big league coaching staff.

Jacob deGrom and Noah Syndergaard are not on the trading block yet, but new New York Mets general manager Brodie Van Wagenen is not against the idea of moving either starter.

New Mets general manager Brodie Van Wagenen said Tuesday that he expects Tebow to open next season at Triple-A Syracuse, where he should provide an attendance boost at the Mets' recently purchased top affiliate.

DeGrom is coming off a season where he set the Major League Baseball record for the most consecutive starts allowing three earned runs or fewer. Bones had been bullpen coach since the 2012 season. The Mets bullpen ranked 14th in the NL - only the Marlins were worse - with a 4.96 ERA last season.

Amaro, the former Phillies GM, has a relationship with Van Wagenen based on their shared Stanford roots and is viewed as a front-office asset who can assist with personnel decisions. (1st Base Coach) and Gary Disarcina (Bench Coach) is still to be decided. Van Wagenen has indicated that Callaway will be back in 2019, but he was not at all involved in the choice to hire Callaway. Ricco and Ricciardi could be asked to fill different roles than previously in the organization.

According to Metsblog.com, following last week's introductory press conference, Van Wagenen told Mike Francesa of WFAN that the club was in the process of evaluating their coaching staff.

For the first time in over three years, Ruben Amaro Jr. will be part of a Major League Baseball organization's front office. Tim Tebow is 30 years old. "They are certainly important to me and that's why they are out here this week".
