We use the plural because, as you can see in the teaser photo released with the announcement, the 2019 Mazda3 will debut simultaneously as a four-door sedan and five-door hatchback.
In recent times, Mazda has created some stunning production and concept cars including the Kai, Vision Coupe and updated 6. One change we notice is the rear window drops down sharply unlike on the old model, where it comes to a gradual point. This mature looks will be complemented by the new performance levels made possible with the use of a new generation of Skyactiv engines. A new Skyactiv-X engine is expected to significantly increase both torque and fuel efficiency.
The new 3 is based around a new version of the company's "Skyactiv" vehicle architecture, announced with the Kai concept previous year, and promising a "considerably quieter and more comfortable ride". We had the chance to drive early prototypes, and they came in both automatic and manual versions.
The Japanese automaker has officially announced that the new Mazda3 will make its world premiere at the Los Angeles Auto Show, which opens to the public from November 30 to December 9, 2018.
