The suitemate tweeted earlier that Alaina was one of "a handful of girls" who went line-dancing at the country-western bar. "Alaina was an incredible young woman with so much life ahead of her and we are devastated that her life was cut short in this manner".
"Yes all the other girls are safe", the suitemate responded to Mowry-Housley, noting that her niece was the only one still missing.
In addition to those that were killed, 10 people with gunshot wounds or lacerations were sent to Los Robles Regional Medical Center for treatment and have since been released, hospital officials said.
Andrea tweeted: 'A guard didn't let him through, saying [the hospital] was on lockdown.
Housley wrote, "Staying positive and praying and hoping and wishing there was more I could do".
He noted that his niece's Apple devices showed the bar's dance floor as her current location.
Housley said his niece had been at the bar with classmates when the shooting occurred.
Alaina's classmates told Housley they'd lost his niece in the chaos of the shooting.
This is the second mass shooting in the U.S.in less than two weeks. "You just don't think that - same stupid quote - you just don't think it's going to happen to you". Can you please DM me your information?'
Mowry-Housley's husband also tweeted out asking for prayers for his niece, who he called "a attractive soul". "Please pray. I am numb", she wrote. Please do me a favor and introduce yourself in person and see what the result will be. Ventura County Sheriff Geoff Dean said an investigation is ongoing, and it is unclear what motivated the attack. Law Enforcement and First Responders, together with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, are on scene. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families during this hard time. "Thank you to Law Enforcement".
