Indian Idol 10 judge Anu Malik has taken a break from the show

"The show will continue its planned schedule and we will invite some of the biggest names in Indian music as guests to join Vishal Dadlani and Neha Kakkar to judge the extraordinary talent of Indian Idol season 10". "There is no Indian Idol without Anu Malik' he bragged among his colleagues", says the source.

The vital thing to be mentioned here is that Anu Malik has been connected with Indian Idol since its beginning.

Already being nearly out of the show, Malik is now accused by one more survivor and that too, former assistant producer of Indian Idol season 5. Two aspiring singers also levelled similar allegations against him recently. Revealing about meeting Anu Malik at his home alone, the first survivor said that the composer lifted her skirt and dropped his trousers. The statement says, "I, Anu Malik, have made a decision to take a break from Indian Idol as I am now unable to focus on my work, my music and the show".

Anu Malik, who has been associated with the Indian Idol from a long time, has been alleged by several singers and workers from the industry of harassment charges and sexual miscondct.

On Wednesday, Shweta had had taken to Twitter to narrate her own MeToo experience stating how Malik allegedly asked for a "kiss" in exchange of offering her a song in his film in 2000.

Previously, allegations of misconduct against Malik began with singer Sona Mohapatra, who called him a "serial predator" and also accused singer Kailash Kher of harassing her.

A lawyer for the music director denied the claims against him, saying India's #MeToo movement is being used for his client's "character assassination". Recounting her experience to Mid-Day, she said the composer unzipped his trousers and asked her to "lick" him. She went to meet him at his residence with her friend. "I don't know why they are still quiet", she told mid-day, adding that she hopes the channel and production house take a stand against Anu Malik.
