Brighton Library Book Sale Runs Through Sunday

Smart Shopper: Bargain books and a $5 bag sale at Grand Rapids Public Library

The Friends of DeKalb Public Library will host its fall sale of used books, music and audio book CDs, and DVDs this weekend.

Roslin Thompson from the library tells KNIA/KRLS News the sale is important to their operations. The sale is located at the Healdsburg Library on Piper St.

Sale hours are 3:30-7 p.m. Oct. 26, 10 a.m.to 5 p.m. Oct. 27, 1-5 p.m. Oct. 28 and 9 a.m.to 6 p.m. Oct. 29.

The Friends of the Staunton Library is a non-profit organization that provides volunteer support and raises funds that enhance the programming, technology and collections of the Staunton Public Library.

Many still enjoy throwing themselves into a good book.

Prices range from 25 cents for children's books and mass market paperbacks, to $1 for trade and large paperbacks, and $1.50 for hardcover books.

"We have way too many books, we're running out of room", Sharleen said. As of August 2018, the Friends have contributed $12,870 toward summer reading and other library programs.
