The gold trousers were for a good cause, too - they were worn by Sam Schumacher, co-founder of Bondi surfing community and mental health awareness group OneWave.
The day began with a walkabout at Melbourne's Government House, including meeting young innovators and entrepreneurs, lunch of native Australian ingredients, a school visit, tram ride and visit to South Melbourne beach. She told the DailyMail about the conversation she had with the royal mum-to-be.
"I said I felt sorry for her having to do all these meet-and-greets while 4 months pregnant!". It is a bit of a double whammy for her as she has both the baby and the jet lag to contend with, ' Charlotte Connell shared.
