Pogab's sour relationship with United coach Jose Mourinho is no secret.
Paul Scholes believes he knows why Paul Pogba isn't performing at the standards he set while at Juventus and implied the French World Cup victor is unable to control games in the way a player of his calibre should.
However, the former Manchester United midfielder remains optimistic that Mourinho can bounce back at the 20-time English champions despite his prior criticism of the manager.
Paul Scholes says even Lionel Messi would struggle to shine in the current Manchester United team and that the struggling club are being laughed at by their rivals.
It was claimed that Pogba was dropped for the game and was laughing and joking with Luke Shaw and Pereira in the stands at Old Trafford during the game - which didn't sit well with the Red Devils manager.
United are languishing in eighth position in the Premier League.
"I loved watching his interviews, his cockiness. If you don't score you do start getting a bit of stick, and players will start being irritated", nine-cap former Wales global Jones told talkSPORT. "I feel like we could sign Lionel Messi at the moment and he'd struggle in this team", he said.
"It feels like every player who comes into the team struggles". "I don't think his play outside of the box is good enough".
"Then, five minutes later, he'll do one of the worst things like his brain has switched off, like it's all about him because he's just shown everyone how good he is".
According to a variety of reports, the Manchester United players have responded to this criticism by doing something so weird that if I didn't know any better I'd swear I imagined it: they are passing video clips of said legends making mistakes around to each other.
