Former West Virginia running back Justin Crawford was arrested Saturday by police in Columbus, Ga., on charges of aggravated child molestation, incest with a minor, sodomy, and enticing a minor for indecent purposes, according to an arrest report obtained by The Dominion Post.

According to Kenya who took the girl back to her mother, she woke up on Saturday morning and walked into the living room of their Georgia home when she saw her footballer husband standing over the girl with an erection. That's when the girl told her mom that Justin had her perform oral sex and then they had intercourse.

A lawyer for Crawford couldn't be found.

The Atlanta Legends of the Alliance of American Football says Crawford was suspended after his arrest.

She went back to sleep but continued to worry about what she had seen, according to the Ledger-Enquirer. He is now being held without bond in the Muscogee County Jail in Columbus - which sits about halfway between Atlanta and Montgomery, Alabama.

Crawford's wife Chakeya Crawford called the Ledger-Enquirer later Monday to object to that account. After she woke up again, she went to the girl's mother. She said that when she came downstairs and saw her husband in the living room, he had no erection that she noticed, but his penis was exposed, and he immediately ran from the living room into the kitchen to cover up.

A sexual assault kit was later administered to the girl to preserve any DNA evidence, Scruggs said.

Crawford, a former JUCO player of the year, had back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons at West Virginia in 2016 and '17.

A shocking crime and a confession may send former Atlanta Falcon Justin Crawford, 23, to divorce court and prison.

Crawford was released from the team roster in September after poor performances in several preseason games.
