Michael Buble announces he is quitting music following son's cancer battle

Michael Buble quits social media and talks 'retiring' from music

Michael Bublé announces 'retirement' after revealing horror of son Noah’s cancer battle: 'I don't have the stomach for it anymore'

Michael Bublé is ready to leave the stage. But the ordeal made the Grammy-winning singer question his entire career. "I decided I'd never use social media again, and I never have", he said.

The heartthrob ended the interview by hinting his latest record may be his last.

'I'm retiring from the business. "I've made the flawless record and now I can leave at the very top", Buble said.

The Haven't Met You Yet hitmaker has made a decision to step back from the spotlight following the release of his latest album Love after a tough few years when his son was diagnosed with cancer. HollywoodLife has reached out to Michael's rep for a comment.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Buble and his wife Luisana Lopilato's world was turned upside down when they were told their eldest son, Noah, had cancer in November 2016 by a Los Angeles hospital after medics in her native Argentina had said they thought the youngster had mumps. Although Noah's health has since improved, as we've told you in 2017, the battle changed his father forever.

"You just want to die", he said. "I don't even know how I was breathing", Michael also shared.

He continued: "It wasn't as straightforward as, "My son's recovered, I should make an album".

"But my whole being's changed". My perception of life.

The diagnosis not only changed Michael's way of thinking, but gave him a wake up call.

Speaking about his return to music he said: 'Now I'm just singing the music I love.

Buble also said that helping his son through his illness has given him a new outlook on life and made him realize what's important to him. "I was embarrassed by my ego, that it had allowed this insecurity", he told the Daily Mail.

'I decided I'll never read my name again in print, never read a review, and I never have. "The celebrity narcissism. I started to crumble".

"It was then that I realised I'd missed making music".

Do you think Love will be Michael's last album? Maybe when you let go, maybe that's when it comes back to you. I much rather would have it have been me.

Noah, one of three children with wife of seven years, Argentinian model and actress Luisana Lopilato, is now in remission.
