According to TMZ, Selena has been admitted into a mental health facility for treatment.
TMZ claims that the singer has been hospitalised twice within the last few weeks, both times for a low white blood cell count. After years of rumours about a substance abuse problem, Gomez also did a brief stint at a rehab clinic - though her publicity team blamed it on exhaustion.
According to the site, Selena was released days later but had to be re-admitted "late last week" because her blood cell count was still low which "threw her into a downward emotional spiral". It was a family member who took Selena to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. That was when she apparently tried to rip the IVs out of her arm and had a "meltdown". "After further monitoring it was decided that Selena would seek treatment at a [mental health] facility", a source told the site.
As of now, Selena is currently at an East Coast psychiatric facility and is receiving dialectical behavior therapy, aka DBT.
"You have no idea how incredible it felt to just be with six girls", she admitted to Vogue in March 2017.

Gomez "has dealt with depression for a while", "Entertainment Tonight" reported, citing an unnamed source.
Around the same time as the first incident, the actress announced that she was taking a break from social media.
Soon after this news broke, Selena's fans started sending out wishes for her speedy recovery. She then did an Instagram Live session, in which she appeared sporadically incoherent, and revealed she has been suffering from depression for five years.
"Just remember, negative comments can hurt anybody's feelings".
