Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid has left Adidas and signed a five-year deal with Under Armour, ESPN reported Wednesday.

His play has put him the conversation as one of the top centers in the league and his off-the-court personality - from memorable Tweets to surprise public appearances and everything in between - has made him one of the most marketable stars the National Basketball Association now has.

The deal will include custom footwear, charitable initiatives in Philadelphia and Cameroon, along with his own footwear and apparel line in the near future.

Embiid had previously been with Adidas and was able to secure what Charania reports is the most lucrative shoe deal for a big man. Rookie bigs Deandre Ayton and Marvin Bagley III agreed to deals with Puma earlier in the offseason. This is about more than just basketball. Although he showed up to Sixers training camp this season wearing Under Armour and said he was in negotiations with them. I mean, listen. I'm gonna make sure they design some shoes as pretty as I am. We're gonna take care of that. I want to use this partnership to do something real.

Thw 24-year-old is hands down the league's best follow on social media, letting jokes fly at will, getting under his opponent's skin, while backing up his talk on the court.

If any big man can transcend the norm and move sneakers, it's Embiid.

"A lot of people, you know, always have that notion [that] big men can't sell shoes". I'm more than a big man.
