I said it back in August and I'll say it again, a man shouldn't feel comfortable enough speaking on the wife of another man (and vice versa, ladies). As the theory gained traction, Nick Cannon, who dated Kim Kardashian in late 2006, discussed its possible validity on Complex's morning show "Everyday Struggle" with DJ Akademiks on Friday. The hip-hop artist came forward this week to address getting singled out by Kanye West for allegedly disrespecting his wife Kim Kardashian.
The reality TV star can certainly handle herself in the clapback department (exhibits A, B and C), but the rapper has stepped in to address a trio of men ― Drake, Nick Cannon and Tyson Beckford ― who have all done things that aren't "sitting right with my spirit". First off, let me say welcome back Ye from the Sunken Place.
"First of all I want to address Nick Cannon, I understand that you used to date my wife but you get an interview, don't mention my wife".
He adds, "Honestly I got to say this my dude..." He spoke about Drake's beef with Pusha T, who took shots at the Canadian rapper in the track 'The Story of Adidon'.
"Now what I'm looking for, for my spirit to take accountability is the fact that there's people making rumors or thinking you f*cked my wife and you not saying nothing and you carrying it like that. That don't sit well with my spirit", Kanye said in his video. Like, "Ah I don't know where it come from?' - You too smart for that bro", Ye continues. Don't make no record with nothing that could be confused. "Don't make no record like that, '" said West, referring to the song Drake released about the Lip Kit mogul after she gave birth to her daughter Stormi with boyfriend Travis Scott. "Kanye has a tendency though to change his mind quickly, so she is just going along with his plans because it makes him happy". I salute it. Keep it going. Holla at me. We will work it out and come to a resolution. "None of y'all speak on my wife, period", West says in another video. "I'm not giving no energy to that". But I'm gonna tell you that.
He also takes aim at model Tyson Beckford who body shamed Kim Kardashian, for being unimpressed with her figure, and then expressed that he wants any issues between them to be squashed. Period. What is you talking about? "I'm married. We're in love, we're a family", he continued.
