Meghan Markle's half-sister calls American royal a 'Ducha--' in slamming tweet

"Meghan is being told she needs to stop dressing like a Hollywood star and start dressing like a royal", a source told the Daily Mail.

Meghan has been estranged from Samantha and their father, Thomas Markle, since before her royal wedding to Prince Harry because of their shared habit of talking to the media about her.

Meghan has two dogs - a recently adopted Labrador named "Oz", and a beagle called Guy.

However, Meghan has not cut ties with all of her close friends.

At least the former actress still has the support and friendship of her closest pals, stylist Jessica Mulroney and makeup artist Daniel Martin.

Inside, the message reads, "The Duchess of Sussex is so touched you took the trouble to write as you did on the occasion of her 37th birthday".

The Duchess also showed her support for her friend Serena Williams at Wimbledon final this year, which she attended with Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge.

However, Meghan has distanced herself with some friends of the past.

The pair lost contact when the Duchess moved to Toronto after she divorced Mr Engelson.

It comes after an image purporting to be Meghan taking her dog for a walk set social media alight this week. Once she decides you're not part of her life, she can be very cold.

"It's this shutdown mechanism she has".

"We spotted this lovely, woman with a familiar air outside the entrance to the private residence where Harry & Meghan live", she wrote alongside the snap. "The beginning of marriages are not that easy, but to have that impetus of your own family being disloyal is awful and embarrassing".

In particular, since she's been betrayed so consistently by her father Thomas Sr, half brother Thomas Jr and half sister Samantha Grant, she feels she can only trust her mother Doria Ragland, who is spending an increasing amount of time in London to support her daughter.

"But she just held up her hand and said: 'Stop". I think she's under too much pressure.

However, a royal source has "strenuously denied" this to The Sun, telling the United Kingdom publication, "It's not her".
