Paul Merson predicts Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool result

Tottenham’s Dele Alli Fully Fit & Will Be Available For Champions League Clash Vs Inter

Jamie Carragher backs 'brilliant' summer signing to come good for Liverpool despite slow start

Tottenham Hotspur suffered a double injury blow ahead of a key week with goalkeeper Hugo Lloris and midfielder Dele Alli ruled out for Saturday's (Sep 15) Premier League clash with Liverpool and a Champions League trip to Inter Milan on Tuesday.

The game will be another test of the Reds' title credentials but John Barnes doesn't believe the outcome of the game will be remembered at the end of the season for being massively important in the race to win the 2018/19 Premier League title. I know that's very hard to do but if they could go into February, March, April without it, I think they could have a real chance if they had free weeks. Why?

"Football changed a lot in the last 30 years, shirts got tighter and the game got quicker, so you can't compare the teams, really".

"(We are) disappointed because we are going to miss him for maybe this game and against Inter Milan in Champions League", said Pochettino.

"If you are very close to the Premier League title and very close to progressing in the Champions League, I would probably strengthen my side in the league". Whether we have the consistency is the big factor and we need to beat the teams we should beat while taking our share of scalps.

Son scored 18 goals in 53 games in all competitions for Tottenham last season and he was on target when the London side thrashed Liverpool 4-1 at Wembley last October. I don't know exactly what it means but to focus on one competition can only be if maybe you are already out of the competition almost.

"I think they'll win this one but toppling Manchester City for the title will be so hard".

Whether or not Fabinho gets his chance, Klopp does hope to have Lovren and Adam Lallana fit again soon as Liverpool prepare for a packed run of fixtures.

"We have to think about the game tomorrow, then we see who we can choose for the next game".

"It's been so long since Liverpool won the league - I was still playing!" It has been good but it hasn't been brilliant and we haven't blown teams away to the same degree as last season.

"I don't like the situation; it's not that I like to say to Fabinho, who is full of energy and desire and wants to be involved, "you are not involved this weekend".
