Eminem knows when he takes things "too far", which is why he's issuing a mea culpa to fellow rapper Tyler, the Creator.

Eminem, real name Marshall Mathers, said his breaking point came when Tyler called "Walk on Water" - his 2017 collaboration with Beyonce - "horrible". "What the f*ck", Eminem told Sway.

He said: "Now I'm in this f***in" weird thing, because I'm like, "I gotta answer this motherf***er'". "Wait, you just dissed me?" He was a amusing dude. "I think the word that I called him on that song was one of the things where I felt like this might be too far", he said.

"And every time I do that it makes that person - as irrelevant as people say I am in hip-hop - I make them bigger by getting into this thing where I'm like, 'I wanna destroy him, but I also don't wanna make him bigger, ' because now you're a fucking enemy". "Rihanna just hit me on a text / Last night, I left hickeys on her neck". "Got more fans than you in your own city, lil' kiddy / Go play, feel like I'm babysitting Lil Tay", he spits.

Tyler, the Creator has yet to respond to Em's public apology.

"They were just basically asking me questions about my lyrics to see what the intent was behind them and if I was making an actual threat or just expressing myself", he explained.

As Eminem explained in an interview with Sway Calloway released late Thursday, he made a decision to stand up for himself after Tyler criticized his 2017 song, "Walk on Water", on Twitter despite the two expressing mutual admiration for each other in earlier years. Shady dropped his new diss track aimed at MGK entitled "Kill Shot" on Friday (Sept. 14), and the track is bound to turn heads.

"You sound like a bitch, bitch", Eminem opens the track. Listen to the full song below. "Shut the f-k up".
