A chinese tourist was on Saturday evening attacked and killed by hippo on the shores of Lake Naivasha in Nakuru County.
Kenya Wildlife Service named the tourists, but the Chinese embassy in the country has not released a comment at this stage.
A tourist taking photos has died and another is injured after being attacked by a hippo. His colleague survived with minor bruises and was treated at Naivasha District Hospital.
The attacks brought to six the number of people who have been attacked and killed by hippos in Naivasha since the year began, according to the newspaper.
High water levels have seen hippos - the world's deadliest large land mammal - stray on to resorts for pasture.
In the same area, a Kenyan fisherman was attacked by another hippo a few kilometres (miles) from where the incident with the Chinese occurred, a police official said.
It is reported that the middle-aged man strayed into an area where the animals were resting leading to the fatal attack.
"The man was also bitten on the chest. He died minutes after he was retrieved from the lake", he said.
After a severe drought last year, Kenya had several months of heavy rains earlier this year that caused serious flooding, including around Lake Naivasha.
Tourism is one of the country's main sources of foreign exchange and almost 1.5 million tourists visited Kenya previous year, according to the Tourism Ministry.
