The View Adds Fox News Channel's Abby Huntsman for Season 22

EXCLUSIVE: Abby Huntsman Leaving Fox News for The View

Fox News Channel Alum Abby Huntsman Joins 'The View' for Season 22

Huntsman will be replacing Sarah Haines, who is leaving "The View" to co-host the third hour of "Good Morning America".

Abby Huntsman, who has worked at Fox News Channel as a general assignment reporter and co-host of the weekend edition of "Fox & Friends", is expected to join the ABC daytime talk show, according to a person familiar with the situation.

Now, sources close to "The View" tell Page Six that while "a deal isn't done", the show "is very interested in a role for her".

Huntsman is also the daughter of former Republican presidential candidate Gov. John Huntsman (R-Utah), who is now President Donald Trump's U.S. Ambassador to Russian Federation. She recently slammed the president after his meeting with Putin last month, in which Trump seemed to side with Russian Federation on USA election interference.

Fox News confirmed to Mediaite that Ms. Huntsman will anchor her last "Fox & Friends" this weekend.

"No negotiation is worth throwing your own people and country under the bus", Huntsman tweeted. Expect ABC News to announce shortly before the show's new season starts, right after Labor Day holiday.

The hosts of "The View", with Huntsman's addition, will be: Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Meghan McCain, and now Abby Huntsman. Paula Faris left the program to focus more on reporting.

The show has been on the air for 21 seasons.
