Jarvis Landry steals 'Hard Knocks' with powerful speech

Jarvis Landry Browns

Jarvis Landry goes on profanity-laced rant in Hard Knocks season premiere

How can you watch Hard Knocks Episode 1 online? Here's what to watch, if you're into that sort of thing.

WHAT YOU MAY HAVE MISSED: Greg Bishop from Terrell Owens's alternative Hall of Fame weekend...

Jackson was aware of the cameras in his office and likely kept his explanation vague on objective, but what stands out is his firm belief that Gordon, who has missed 43 of the Browns last 48 games due to suspensions, will actually return.

The offseason of optimism surrounding the Cleveland Browns gets the NFL Films spotlight with the opening of HBO's Hard Knocks tonight at 10 p.m. ET. My guess is they'll confirm it.

"Baker Mayfield!": All eyes are on Baker Mayfield, the Heisman Trophy victor and first overall pick, and he felt that as he came out for his first practice. Come on. Let him adjust to the National Football League without dealing with that. Landry's speech in which he tore into the receivers for not producing in practice is why this franchise has any hope of a resurrection.

Best quote: "Jarvis is f--ing good", an unidentified Browns player can be heard saying from the sideline as they watch a brilliant showing by Landry, including a one-handed catch on a pass thrown by Taylor. They just traded for a guy who came up with the inventive excuse that his auto had marijuana in it because it was shipped and others had control of it. But, every team needs someone on the edge of emotional imbalance - and Landry was that guy for the Dolphins. Jackson asks while on the practice field.

"I don't know what the [expletive] has been going on here", Landry said to his teammates, "and I don't know why it's been going on. I just gave him that encouragement that whatever he is going through, we can't wait to have him back". But, if you're not hurting, if your hamstring isn't falling off the f--ing bone, your leg ain't broke, I don't know, you should be f--ing practicing. That s-- been here in the past, and that's why the past has been like it is, bro. "That s-- is over with here, bro". Like you should be [expletive] practicing. If you're not f-hurt, you've got to f- practice. Because you make other m--rf--ers work even f--ing harder. Because you're being a bitch. Straight up, man. That [expletive] is [expletive] real, bro. That s-- ain't happening here. I'm hurt and I'm exhausted just like every f-- body in this motherf--. But I ain't taking no f-- days off because I can't be great that way. That's got to be the (expletive) attitude and the mentality all the (expletive) time. All that "me" s- don't f- live here no more. That s-- don't exist. It's contagious bruh. Like, it's really f--ing contagious.

Later, Landry said from outside his home: "I'm not much of a talker". When I do talk, it takes a lot for it to come out. You've got the continued development of Myles Garrett, one of the most frightening young defensive players in the NFL. "Sincerest condolences. I will see you soon".

The fact that Gordon changed his number could mean he's cutting people out of his life in an attempt to focus on himself and get more privacy.
