It might be wise to offer something as a freebie since the Hearthstone community has been getting restless in recent months with the amount of money being spent to keep up with the new cards being released.
The next Hearthstone expansion will come with a few new mechanics, first of which is the Magnetic keyword.
If the concept sounds familiar, that's because it sort of is. Thematically, Boomsday Project feels like a sequel of sorts to the Hearthstone's very first expansion, Goblins vs. Gnomes. Dr. Boom The Mad Genius is a Warrior Legendary Hero card, but exactly what it does remains a mystery.
Blizzard Entertainment has announced the newest expansion for digital card game Hearthstone. Magnetic appears to be a Mech-exclusive keyword, and according to the site, Magnetic cards can be played on their own or fused onto other Mechs, combining their stats and creating a freakish amalgamation of the two.
The brand-new keyword, Magnetic, allows players to construct amalgamated mechs by combining their attack, health and abilities.
Examples of each new card type are shown in the gallery above. Alternatively, it can be played targeting a Mech already in play, and if this is done it gives the existing creature all of its bonuses, including +2 power and defense. So now you have a 12/6 at just four mana cost if you have 10 mana crystals.
The Omega cards will grant some major benefits to those who have 10 mana crystals. The "Omega Defender", for instance, gets an additional 10 attack points on top of its original two, making it a mighty threat.
Speaking of which, it looks like they'll have a new tool to do so.
SCIENCE + TEAM WORK = PROJECTS - Projects are Spells that provide a bonus to both players when played. When a card like this is played, it'll be a race to see which player can exploit the advantage fastest.
Blizzard says the Legendary minions in Boomsday are all scientists and inventors, so I'm pretty sure we're going to get a revamped Dr. Boom neutral Legendary.
(5) Myra's Unstable Element (Legendary Rogue Spell): Draw the rest of your deck. A 3/3 at first glance might not seem too exciting, until you remember that Shaman has some outrageously powerful spells. The 50-card pack includes one free golden Legendary and the Mecha-Jaraxxus card back and the 80-card pack includes a free golden Legendary, as well as the Mecha-JaraxxusWarlock Hero, in addition to the Mecha-Jaraxxus card back. We'll have one more expansion later in 2018. Take a look at the video below.
