Liverpool reportedly not interested in Yerry Mina

Everton have made a concrete move for Barcelona defender Yerry Mina, but there is no clarity as to whether Liverpool are still interested in the Colombia worldwide.

'I'm not aware of any bids, ' Jair Mina told RAC1.

Mina has impressed during Colombia's World Cup campaign, which ended on Tuesday evening after they were eliminated by England via a dramatic penalty shootout.

"We're going to see what the situation is with the club, but we don't have any information".

It is unclear how far each side is willing to go in a bidding war, but neither are likely to stretch their resources too far - with the threat of Financial Fair Play regulations a constant issue to contend with for all big spending football clubs.

It has been claimed Everton are serious about signing the Colombian World Cup star and have made a concrete move, but according to Spanish daily Mundo Deportivo, there is a lack of clarity about Liverpool's interest.

Just seven months after joining the Blaugrana from Brazilian outfit Palmeiras, the towering defender has been strongly linked with Liverpool, Everton and Turkish giants Fenerbahce. The defender is also likely to find himself surplus to European Union regulations, with Barcelona only permitted to use three players from outside the European Union and a deal in place to sign Gremio's Arthur Melo, supplementing South American regulars Philippe Coutinho and Paulinho.
