Fortnite Season 5 Week 1 Challenges: What Are the New Fortnite Challenges?

Fortnite season 5 map changes

EPIC GAMESFortnite season 5 map changes- Paradise Palms Lazy Links and Desert locations added

V5 introduces a new vehicle option called the ATK, or All Terrain Kart.

Viking ships, desert outposts, and ancient statues have appeared across the island.

The roof acts as a bounce pad. As with last season's instances of this challenge, you can explore Risky Reels to locate the treasure map, or you can simply head to where the treasure is-if you know where to go.

Lean back and release at the same time for a higher jump. Epic has brought some of them down to earth in the form of Rifts. Polygon speculates that it might even transport players to an entirely different map. This should make it a little bit more challenging for players who prefer to camp as the Storm closes in. However, the first storm circle will now only ever do 1 damage, no matter how long you're stuck in it. Shotgun spread is now consistent with no random variation, the suppressed SMG has been amended to fall in line with other SMGs and the hunting rifle aim assist has been reduced to match other sniper rifles.

While the new locations and features will capture your attention, Epic has made a number of important tweaks to the in-game mechanics. The heavy shotgun now fires 10 pellets instead of 5, but the maximum damage of the weapon has been unchanged. Also, after firing a shotgun, you won't be able to use a different shotgun for a short amount of time, presumably to avoid players weapon switching to fire off shotguns faster than they were created to be shot.

Another change is how players are able to earn extra XP when playing big team modes. For the Nintendo Switch, Epic games has also included motion controls which can be adjusted in the Settings menu.
