Cape Town - The Duke and Duchess have announced who will act as the godparents of their son, Prince Louis, ahead of his christening on Monday.

He may have been too young to attend Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's recent royal wedding on May 19, but Prince Louis was out for the world to see today, during his royal christening at The Chapel Royal, St. James's Palace in London.

The back of the photo had the message: "The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been overwhelmed by all the incredibly kind cards and letters they have received on the occasion of their Wedding and are so touched that you took the trouble to write as you did". Catherine's sister Pippa, who is expecting her first child, was also in attendance with her husband James Matthews.

The Duchess of Sussex tried out a new colour in her royal wardrobe. "To have the Duke and Duchess of Sussex involved will certainly inspire a whole new generation to get involved", said Y K Sinha, India's High Commissioner to the UK. Meghan Markle wore a khaki green Ralph Lauren dress and structured hat by Stephen Jones, with matching heels.

Meghan Markle seems to be assimilating to life in the United Kingdom very well - so much so that she appears to have picked up an English accent à la Madonna. She also wore her hair in a low chignon, topped with a white, flowered headpiece.
