At the time of the launch of the OnePlus 6, the brand had no plans to introduce a 256GB version with 8GB of RAM in India however; these plans have changed and starting today, a Midnight Black version with this configuration will be made available for the masses.
OnePlus 6 can now be purchased in 256GB storage variant in India at Rs 43,999.
That means it carries the middle price tag of the three OnePlus 6 options, setting you back $579 (£519, around AU$775) SIM-free.
The new configuration is available only on the midnight black color option, while the other color options now top out at 128GB.
Today's also the day OnePlus will be restocking the Bullets Wireless earphones, which cost £69. There is an added anti-reflective layer on top of the glass panel that allows more light to reach the bottom layers of the glass before being reflected off the device, creating a sense of depth. At first, it will go on sale via Amazon on July 10, 12PM IST. The phone will also go on sale on oneplus.in on July 14, along with OnePlus' official offline channels, which includes Croma and OnePlus exclusive stores across the country. The good news is those who favor the red color above all others won't have to pay extra for Red OnePlus 6. Under the hood, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, coupled with Adreno 630 GPU. Running on Android 8.1 Oreo with OxygenOS 5.1, the smartphone will receive updates for Android P as well. The handset has a dual rear camera setup with a 16-megapixel primary Sony IMX519 sensor and an f/1.7 aperture and a 20-megapixel secondary Sony IM376K sensor.
There's also facial recognition for fast unlocking, a 3,300 mAh fast charging battery and there's even a headphone port.
