Like George in 2013, Louis wore his wearing his finery to the Chapel Royal at St. James Palace; and like with both George and Charlotte, the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby will be performing the christening honors. It is the latter that she had remade in a yellow colour for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's royal wedding.
In keeping with royal tradition, the water used for Louis' christening had been sourced from the River Jordan.
Since then, the christening gown has become a cultural marker in the regal history books as it has been worn by 62 royals in total including Princes Harry and William. During the ceremony, his seven godparents were also named, including Prince William's cousin Zara Tindall and many of their closest friends.

Louis' three godfathers will be family friend Nicholas Van Cutsem, William's school friend Harry Aubrey-Fletcher and Guy Pelly, a well-known high society nightclub founder who has been close to William and brother Harry for many years.
Prince Louis now sits at fifth in line to take the throne after his grandfather Prince Charles, father Prince William, big brother Prince George and big sister Princess Charlotte.
However, his great-grandmother the queen and her husband Prince Philip will not be among the guests, Kensington Palace said.
It's days like today that make being a mom so special for Kate Middleton.
There for the ceremony were Louis's grandfather the Prince of Wales, step-grandmother the Duchess of Cornwall and maternal grandparents Carole and Michael Middleton. His grandparents, Prince Charles and Camilla, were in attendance, as well as his uncle and aunt, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. It is understood to have been mutually agreed by the Queen and the Cambridges some time ago.
Little baby Louis wore a handmade replica of the Royal Christening Robe, the palace said, which was made by the queen's longtime dressmaker, Angela Kelly.
