It's great that Nintendo and Disney have chose to go with a diverse lineup of games, including single-player games, sports games, and party games. You'll have the opportunity to show off your crazy-good skills by participating in challenges like searching for collectibles in Super Mario Odyssey, competing in head-to-head matches in Mario Tennis Aces, and dancing to your heart's content in Just Dance 2018.
The show will pit four families against one another in "fun and friendly competition".
Nintendo Switch Family Showdown will be streamed on the Disney Channel, Disney XD and the DisneyNOW app.
For a detailed list of rules and guidelines, check out the official Nintendo Switch Family Showdown Contest page. The show will feature such games as Mario Odyssey, Mario Tennis Aces, or Just Dance 2018.
Between the novelty of the Switch concept, a relatively low price ($300), and a barrage of killer games from Nintendo's top creative talent, the Switch quickly became a massive hit.
The minimum age to enter the contest is 6-years-old and the maximum is 18-years-old; minors must get parental permission and competing families are limited to up to four individuals.
The contest is named "Nintendo Switch Family Showdown", and it's set to debut this summer. As of May, the Switch has sold over 17 million units, increasing Nintendo's profit by 500 percent. The game focuses on a humble plumber who must rescue a princess from the titular ape. Games like Splatoon 2 and the upcoming Super Smash Bros Ultimate would be prime candidates to appear on the show.
